The one I have experience with is the 28/2.8; the version you've listed is a competent lens but no better (perhaps weaker) than similar offerings from Nikon and Contax. Price wise, that's about the going rate but for the money, the Nikon AIS and Contax are better options.
The Leica 28 Elmarit v.2 is a quantum leap forward and priced accordingly.

If you are on a tight budget, the 35 Elmarit is a better choice. If not, you can have both, they are good lenses. BTW, I would not recommend novoflex R-EOS adapter. It's not about the quality or price. On other adapters, changing the lens is a lot easier than novoflex's.

Those are great prices. I'd jump on it.
I only owned the 28. It has amazing color, but suffers from terrible field curvature and vignetting. But it has its charm. If in great shape, you should be able to sell for over $400, so it's a no-loss situation.
The 35 has a better reputation. And I believe the adapter if over $200 new.

Hi,
Thank you for your messages : ) !!!

Supposedly Sebastiao salgado used a 28 mm. in his kit, among other lenses.

Vignetting, soft corners on a FF camera. The R 28 Elmarit has gone through several iterations since introduction and the earliest one is the weakest. As 28's go, Nikon and Contax versions are more contrasty and the Nikkor is amazingly sharp from MFD to perhaps 10 metres while maintaining sharpness well into the corners. The Nikkor 28/2.8 AIS was a breakthrough in optical design of the time with near-macro capabilities, remains relevant and is being manufactured to this day.

IIRC, when you have the center 1/3 of the frame sharp wide open at around 15', it will be gradually go OOF until the edges are terribly OOF at the same focusing distance, but the focal plane will curve in on the sides to just in front of the camera on the sides-- a wild U-turn of focus range! The focus is not even across the frame until f/11-16, at which point diffraction is softening the whole image. I considered the 28/2.8 as a special purpose/special effects lens, but not useful enough for me to keep. Mine had great color and contrast though.

The 28/2.8 is a great lens even in the first version, and $300 is a very good price if condition is good and the hood is included.
The 35/2.8, if it is a E55 version, is great too. Get both and sell one later
