p.1 #1 · HS BBall girls state championship. Final 16-7... really
The 5A girls state championship was this weekend between two teams from the same league. They had faced each other twice this year and Willamette had lost to Springfield twice.
Springfield's 6'-6" Mercededs Russel is the #1 2013 recruit in the nation according to a number of services and has been unstoppable the majority of the year. Anyway... no shot clock in Oregon. Willamette stalls almost the entire game. Springfield has 2 offensive possessions in the 1st qtr and ends the first half up 7-0. It was crazy. Entered the 4th qtr with a score of 7-1... it was crazy weird.
Here are a few shots.
I do have a real question though... I really struggle with horizons in basketball. What rule of thumb do you guys follow?

I believe a very good rule of thumb to follow is to make sure Verticle lines / items appear Verticle in your composition after PP. Horizontals can and will the be Perceived as proper despite not looking level in the photo.

Exactly what guy said. A safe bet is the sides of the backboard, or the guard rails (but be careful when using vert rails, as sometimes they're not actually verticle)
That must have been a very anti-climatic game, just standing and stalling.

Thanks guys. I've heard the vertical comment before and I think I'll just stick with that. It's just that sometimes my eye wants me to level the floor/horizontal.
The game was very interesting to say the least. Parents talking crap to each other, people booing, it was a spectacle.
