Nice set! I really dig shots 6 & 9.
Note: The shot you posted apologizing for the colors because you had to boost the exposure in post, I just don't get why it's even posted to be honest. Unless you are expecting to move it to the referee making the goal call, there's really nothing special about the photo whatsoever. Honestly, the previous shot tells the story much better anyway. I would have just left the other one out altogether. Nice work though. Good looking shots. Thanks for sharing.
@Billy I posted that shot just to complete the 1-2-3 sequence with the referee making the "call", as it may not have been obvious if that was a goal or not from the first two photos. Nothing more than that to it.

This is probably a novice question but I have never shot hockey. Do you shoot through the glass? If so, how do you avoid glare?
Thanks.
Yes I shoot through the glass. I try to keep the lens close to the glass as possible (less than inch), sometimes even resting right against it, if the action is away from me and trying to shoot as perpendicular to the glass as possible. Thats about it
OK - thanks. I will be shooting my first hockey match tomorrow at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. High school regional tournament. Should be good light - it's where the Predators play. I think I am just going to use my 70-200 - I was told I can move almost anywhere around the glass.

Sweet!
The lighting should be excelent, I wish I could shoot hockey at ISO 1250 instead of 4000.
Also, if you can move anywhere you want, there are should be holes in the glass in the corners.
