And the best part is that if you need the mod, manfrotto distribution in the US does not even do their own repairs anymore, they use some third party logistics co. in arizona! Not that manfrotto service could have gotten any worse...

Has anyone who purchased a Gen 1 Quadra upgraded? Ive seen mention of a $40/head upgrade cost, but don't see any info listed on the Elinchrom site or resellers to indicate any upgrade is necessary.

can you buy a Quadra kit with the lithium battery included as the only battery? I can only find kits with the old battery and only find the lithium as a separate purchase.

I bought a 2. gen Quadra kit and now use the spare li-on battery from the new kit to power my 1. gen Quadra. So far no problem
