An old homestead showing the enormous chimney in relation to the rest of the place.

The big open fireplace certainly was a big part of these old homes.

a nice capture of the light and shadows. I'm inclined to say that a B&W version with look very good with the IR.

Good image, Ray.
Some of the leaves are a bit too "fakey-looking" for me (no surprise

), but otherwise the IR works fine.
Back in the day- especially in remote homesteads- the family "gathering around the fireplace" wasn't just social. It was the only place to get warm at night
