I've been waiting for this thread... Great shots. #8 gave me a quick chuckle.
Was hoping my daughter would have been on the stage you were shooting, but not so. The other guys there mangaged to lighten my wallet a little bit (thanks guys...). I appreciated you guys allowing me to interupt your set up time to take a few minutes to say hi. Was nice meeting you guys even if it was for just a brief moment.
Great shots. #5 is Taylor from F5 at my daughters gym. I will have to show her grandmother that photo. You guys did a great job at the competition. I don't think I have ever seen so many photographers covering one cheer floor.
I cannot believe with all of those lights in the arena you guys were shooting 3200.
@Peter, Kevin and Russ, thank you very much.
@Lance it was great to meet you also, thanks for stopping by.
@Larry yes those basket tosses can be tricky to spin that wheel(SS) and get it perfect, but it turned out pretty cool with the back lighting.
@fast thanks, and yes all stages are covered quite well the boss makes sure of that.
@Mike thank you.Hasnt Paul put you to work at one of these?
@ knight,it was good to meet you at Worlds last year, Dallas is a very cool event with lots of great people involved.
Thanks again to everyone.

Maybe it's not the best exposure but #15 FTW.
Ditto to what Russ said.
Actually, this is exactly how I would expose this one. Yes, you do lose almost a full stop of light at these heights and most times it comes out dark and drab, but on this particular one, the hair and skim light outlining the profile of the face and legs is what makes it special IMO.
Thanks Paul,I appreciate the compliments and its always great to get feedback from you.we missed you being there but on the other hand I'm glad I didn't have to follow one of your post from this event. Lol. And yeah, I've got a few of the drab ones as well.
See you,Shane and others soon. You guys would have loved the Mambo club.
John, thanks as well.I wish I could claim timing is everything but those lights and routines are so random it would be pretty much impossible to nail it consistantly.
