there are several threads on this issue; in my case earthlink processes my emails and after support calls and chats it seems it's my job to add fredmiranda.com to my approved incoming emails. No honest explanation of why the change on Feb 18 when the PM's stopped --- no explanation of why no notice to me despite their default setting of sending notices of intercepted emails --- and best of all, no concept of how I could know the domain names of other blocked important emails that I didn't know were coming. If I make the change I accept their unauthorized changes: Not.
In the other threads some earthlink customers say no problem, while those with other ISP's are having problems.
I'm a not a big government guy, but I believe in laws making this kind of activity actionable: make no mistake --- everything they do to 'protect us' has a real reason that ends in $.
I reported this problem to Fred several weeks ago. I stopped getting notifications too and I'm with Comcast.net as other members are that I've been in contact with....... and still no luck..........
As I described in the above link.... I changed my profile to a "temporary/test" yahoo.com email address, and then started to receive notifications there.
But, when I changed back to the one I've had here for years, I stopped receiving them.
Fred,
Was having the problem, for a couple of days starting getting notifications again, and now back to the problem.
Once again, not getting notifications of PM's or posts to threads I am following
Bob
Out of the clear blue my PM notifications started working again without any changes from me or my provider.........hopefully this will affect the rest of you as well...........
