Looks like a waiting room ... waiting.
Sweet and melancholic image.
Life inside the room appears frozen (in time), whereas outside life brightly carries on.
I first saw this image earlier today from my work computer (laptop) and thought it looked good - - especially the light coming in the window. But now I am seeing it from my photo workstation, calibrated for B&W printing, and it looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Lazlo- the other comments covered it. I also really like the glowing light through the window- as well as the overall image.
Permit a bit of levity- if they do return, their butts will sag when they sit down; the parts that hold them up are missing .

Thank you Santiago.
Indeed, life has stopped in this house for quite a while. I wonder what happened to the people used to live there

Thanks Chris.
It was getting close to sunset ( at the other side of the building ) so the light was really soft coming through that window.

Thanks.
It is good to know that it looks good on other monitors not just mine.
I am using Nvidia control panel to adjust my monitor's setting, but I always have to reload it every time the computer starts up. It is a pain, but couldn't figure out how to do it automatically.

Thanks Charlie.
That reminds me, I have had an armchair for about 15 years with the seat missing as well.
Maybe it is time to get it fixed
