We started feeding the birds two years ago...nice to see the California Quail return last year after a long absence, they are so colorful...100% crop...shot through the dining room window.
love this one, fantastic quail shot with the bright ferns in front and dark woods behind
Thanks skibum...probably not going to be to many more pictures from work...I'm calling for my retirement papers this week...figure it's time after 40 years in the trade to get out while I still have my health or worse yet,be injured and retire a cripple...it's a dangerous trade...one too many close calls the past few years...think about self preservation more then anything these days.
Here are a few from a recent Aurora storm earth encountered. The night sky has been quiet in my neighborhood for an unusually long period of time. Well, on February 14/15 earth received an impact from an unknown source of energy. Our planets magnetic field basically opened up allowing the normal solar wind we receive to hit our atmosphere. This is what happen in the sky north of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
A couple from my walk around Erie Metro Park yesterday - 1DIIn and 100-400L
My whitetail entourage... people feed the deer along the main trails out there, and as a result they are not shy at all. This group actually followed me around for a fair stretch.
