You could be subtle, and just call it " A Big White Fence "

FYI ... the fence is only a decorative "boundary" element to separate property lines (short "L") and foot traffic from the street (length).

The house in the background is NOT the same property as the fence. My POV is standing in the driveway (i.e. the reason for the 'incomplete' fence) entrance (near the street which runs parallel to the fence). The fence actually belongs to a house set back about 800 yards from the road.

I figured as much. It's what a farmer like my maternal grandfather — who was born in the 1880s, built his own log home and plowed 16 acres with a mule named Jack— would call a "vanity" fence: one which is more decorative than practical to build and maintain on a working farm. That's me on the left, circa 1956...

Yup, it's definitely a 'vanity' fence.

We refer to the property as "Tara". It actually has a name (which I've long since forgotten).

I'd take a pic of it, but it's much like take a picture of a moonrise. It looks big to the eye, but photographically it is so dang far away that it becomes a spec relative to the foreground. You'd have to shoot from half a mile with the Hubbell telescope to get the fence and home in good scale/balance.

I think the fence balances much better "on paper" with the neighbor's home.

Funny ... I'll have to remember that.

"A Big, Fat, Long, Honkin, White, I Got Too Much Money, Look At Me, But Don't Come Close, Cause We're Better Than You, Fence"

Maybe, I should just stick with "Harmony" for now.

Or as grandpa would say, "Now there's a fella with more dollars than sense when it comes to fence. "
