another vote for the Lenmar. I have on Canon and one Lenmar, and at the rate that I use them, I get about a weeks worth of use out of each. I run them all the way down (in camera) and then switch out. I don't bother charging the other one right away unless I'm going to be doing more than my average shooting. It seems to work well.
as my personnal stuff is usually done in bad weather, have been using Canon OEM last several years - but have had good luck w/Lenmars and years ago the Black Diamond bateries. Fit on OEM's is best.

I was saved by one of my battery packs during an indoor wedding back in winter 2009. I took a train then walked to the wedding venue and my gear were pretty cold, including all the NP-E3 I brought. NiMH has poor cold weather performance, this is why Lithium based chemistry is a great advancement in battery technology. Luckily I had the LiFePO4 pack with me (green one below) and I was able to shoot right away.
I don't have a picture of the Eneloop NP-E3 on hand, but yea, it's pretty much what it shows on the link posted above. Except I did it with a homemade welder and nickel tabs.
