My friend Tan Paul has sent a message reminding me that I need to post the pictures of a Sea Eagle snatching an Open Bill juvenile while we were watching Open Bill and Black headed Ibis nests at Yala National Park.
All images were taken Handheld from a safari jeep. It was quite a distance but manage to get these shots. C & C welcome.
Nature Red in Tooth and Claw on display here, Jude. The Sea Eagle sure looks like it's intently watching for its opportunity to pounce. A fine sequence!
Great set Jude. This must be a fairly regular occurrence. I took a very similar shot of a fish eagle taking a juvenile ibis at the same location two weeks before your shot.
