It really is not all that complicated for me as I do not use any high tech electronic gear. My drip system is a burette or a zip lock bag with a hole punched in it.
I used the Nikon 60mm micro lens, D7000 , tripod and 2 speed lights (SB600 and SB900). One speed light is pointed at the background and one is above the water pointed down. I use a toothpick to focus where the water is dripping and then just fire away .
