p.1 #1 · When a 600mm or 800mm is too short

Saw this strange bird on one of my wife's bird feeder this morning, grabbed my trust V1 & 30-110 equiv to 297mm @ 35mm.

Even at almost 300mm to far away. I could move our house closer to the feeders but that will take too long and might scare the birds.

Solution - 500/4 w 1.4 ext. = 1890 mm.
Some learning to be done w/technique but I'm thinkin this will be fun.

Thanks, for posting those images, Gerard.

Do you happen to own a 300 f4, and if so, could you post some shots with the bare 300, plus the 300 with the TC?

Tony - As stated on the other thread I don't have a 300/4 but I gotta believe you'd get the same results, just a tad shorter. With your skill set 'No Problem'
