Was in a new location to shoot dragons (it's the Year of the Dragon after all according to the Chinese) but much to my annoyance, after walking a good distance in the trails, I found that the park officials had closed the pond and creek off
Gah at least they could have posted a notice at the trailhead or carpark...
Found myself other subjects instead. Boy do my arms hurt!

Surprised to see one at eye level and it didn't fly away; I've never been able to sneak up on one before, even the mere action of looking in the direction of their singing makes them stop
Though once I tried to take its sideview.....
