Scott in the sense of action, ball, face....I think it is #1 for that. For me....these aren't really showing much for compelling action. In #2 the ball handler has his back toward you and in #3 it looks like a loose ball or a pass.
So I'll turn it back to you and ask what was your intent for each one of the shots you posted. Were these shot for a newspaper....sales....yearbook etc? I'm just trying to get a feel for why you shot and posted what you did.
No, the previous pics Ive had up here for youth, the iso setting was too low, white balance off, Im just trying to get it right in the camera in low light gyms. Plus I'm using the back focus on the canon 7D, and that is going to take some time to get used too. I had some good shots of dunks, but they were out of focus, using the back focus just felt strange, just have to get used to it.
Scott,
I think you still need to go with center point focus. It will take sone getting used to, especially tracking fast action, but with AF point expanded, you're shots are still soft.
MK, I had some with dunks, but I got their back, I was on the wrong side of the baseline. Ill put em on here. They picked up a new player and he had 4 dunks in 3 mins of play, and everyone he had his back to me.
