For those of you who are attending WPPI, do you have any plans besides just the classes and trade show? Are there any programs or events that's not affiliated with wppi that you're thinking of attending? I wanted to do something besides the shows, and actually take some photos, hopefully something a bit more creative/fun. Anyone interested in doing a photoshoot? I was thinking of maybe doing a portrait session in sin city with a model or two, utilizing all the glitz and glamor with the emptiness of the dessert. We can also have a FM shoot off. When we had a North East FM session last year, we had a "dudoir" session with a bunch of us photogs, and that was great time just goofing off.
Nothing serious, only fun. If any of you are interested, let's hear it below.
*** EDIT: Lots of people are down for this, which is awesome! Here's the tentative plans:
When: Monday Feb 20th at 5pm
Where: We meet in front of the MGM Grand
Activities: Walk around, shoot some pictures, share tips, tell jokes, make fun of Todd Reeves, etc.
Dinner: Dinner at 6:15 somewhere, any suggestions?
We should finish up by 7 - 7:30, giving everyone a chance to chill, or get ready for other activities and parties.
Me and my family will be there from sun - wed, I'll volunteer us for some family portraits. Me, wife, almost 4 y/o boy, and 8 m/o boy. The wife and kids are portfolio material. Me on the other hand...
Wow, lots of peeps want to model. That's coo. Keep in mind, this is not serious at all, only to goof off and have some fun. So if you're expecting anything legitimate or a nice portrait for the website, don't get your hopes up too much. Think more facebook comments material... haha. However, given the talent from everyone there, there's a strong possibility that a lot of good candid shots will come out of it, so if you come along, dress well.
How about we get together Monday evening, shoot and goof around for an hour, and then have an FM style dinner?
Matt, I'm only bringing the 5D, 35, 135, and a strobe. Minimal as it comes.
Jason and I were discussing dinner Monday, but it has to sort of work into the plan for airplanes and blazers which means I was really hoping to be dressed and ready for A&B before dinner (which takes time. Haha).

I thought A&B was Sunday night? When does it start? Also is it really as fun as you all are making it to be (I'm debating if I want to go to it)?
We can do this around 5ish (get some of that good light), have dinner around 6ish, and go do our thing around 7. Any suggestions?
A&B is Monday night at 10. I personally think its a blast. Depends on if you like a dance party or not. I don't remember anyone of us from last year complaining
My beard will be available for either side of the camera the 19th-22nd. I don't want any stuff for me (currently rocking' the hobo look), but I'd love to goof around with you guys.
