Hello All,

I haven't used the DoF button on my D300 in a while and last evening, while playing with the camera, realized that when I press the DOF button, I do not see any difference in the view finder (typically you would see some change). I had a 18-200 mm lens on it when I tried it. I for sure remember the button was working before. Not sure if I changed anything on the menu to disable the function.

Can you think of any that would result in the loss of DOF functionality? Please suggest.

If your f-stop setting on the camera was for wide open, there would be no change.

Also, it's a button that can be reprogrammed.... Maybe it's doing something else now?

I have mine set for a spot meter reading, since DOF usually results in something too dark to see anything anyway.....

Hi Bernie....I will check to see what the button is now set to. However, few months back I did change the FN button and may be accidentally did something to DoF button...Also i was atleast f8 while checking the dof on this lens...(which goes from f5.6 and above at 200mm). Thanks for the response.
