FWIW, I just bought a new 135L a few months ago from B&H with a UY date code as well.
Sharp as a tack and there's no way I was returning it!

I get a big kick out of buyers when I'm selling a piece of gear. Some of the things they worry about I wonder if they suffer from panic attacks. But a new unused lens that's been sitting for a year and a half is identical to one that's just out of the factory. I recently bought a NIB 30 year old camera that works like a champ.
