We took a hike up Lazy Mountain.. about 6500 feet...
It ain't lazy.. nothing about it is lazy..
At any rate, here is a photo..
Not looking for CC on this one..
Just thought you might enjoy the view.
My daughter hamming it up for the photo!
Note, I took these with an old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50.
Enjoyed the pics. I spent an amazing week at a fishing lodge on Craig Island. Was totally and completely blown away by Alaska. Hope to make it back some day.

Yes, it is amazing here.. but it requires MONEY and a good 4 wheeler, and even better your own small plane... to get a lot of amazing photos...
Truly the Last Frontier in North America...
Mostly un populated... TONS of places to shoot nature, scenery...
amazing!

I think you mean Prince of Wales Island? I live nearby, not familiar with Craig Island, but there is the town of Craig on PoW.

You're right, of course. We flew into Ketchikan and then took a puddle jumper to the island. The first bald eagle we saw was amazing, not realizing they're nearly as common as pigeons in Alaska, haha. Those were the days of point and shoot photography for me... can't wait to go back again with my DSLR and some nice lenses.
It's funny you say that about the eagles. Several years ago my aunt and cousin visited, who are from upstate NY. It was fun seeing someone get so excited seeing those birds that I think a lot of people take for granted here, since there are so many of them.
To the OP, that looks like a nice place to go hiking. How close to downtown Anchorage is it? I may be up there for a few days near the end of May, might make for a good day activity.
