I shot my last game for the year - highly doubtful that our team will make it into championship play. This was an away game at an unusually well-lit gym. I always look forward to shooting there. Shot with my 7D, ISO ranging from 1600 to 2500 as the sun went down & I no longer had light from the bank of windows. Used my 85 1.8 for everything. Setting were 1/500 at 2.2. Thanks for any comments or suggestions!

Nice shots, Kathleen. I especially like 1 (looks like you could have put out your hand for him to get a boost from!) and 4. I'm definitely not used to seeing such shadow-free ambient basketball shots.
The gym is amazing, Russ. Banks & banks of lights on the ceiling, a huge row of windows and tons of space behind the baskets. In the case of the first image, I was almost directly behind the basket. The down side of that space is I was lulled into a false sense of security. I'd forgotten that the bigger players still can travel pretty far. During the varsity game, I ended up with the center sliding backwards into my lap. "Sorry, Mrs. Martin" and off he went.
