I'd also love to see some photos of the 150-500 since that seems to be neck and neck with the Nikkor 80-400 on the poll. Most of what I've found just searching for the 150-500 online were not very sharp so I wand to see what it's really capable of.

Having owned two Tamron 200-500's, I would not recommend this lens. It does not have a focus-limiter, no VR, and the AF is slow and noisy.

Last year I bought the Sigma 150-500 OS as a holiday lens. It's not the greatest but it works pretty good with enough light. My example even works well at 500mm.

20% crop @380mm

It's a Kalong, a rather big Bat. :-)
60-70 cm high and a wing-span of about 1,5 m.
