Recently purchased a 5D, my first full frame! and went out with a friend to test it out and shoot some pics. These are my favs from the day. Loving the 5D and the 135mm!
I think that number one is much better than the others. Potty pose is not good, and
look how much softer and appealing she is in the first shot than the others.
Agree with others - number one is the shot for me (without the watch...)
Number 2, enough said
While it has a completely different feel to the first shot, number 4 has potential (without the watch again) although someone is gonna jump on you for the elbow...
nice efforts with a new camera, especially changing formats. In addition to the above I would say be careful on the highlights. She seems to have really fair skin and #3 would have been stellar if the sidewalk didnt attract my eyes first. Overall nice variety for the shoot.
Fixie - great first outing with the new gear, thanks for sharing! #1 and #4 are my favorites.
#1 is nice an soft, and her wardrobe selection lent itself to that idea being all white. Didn't notice the watch until I read the other comments and now it bugs me. I guess ill take that good advice with me as well.
#2 is well covered already, I agree.
#3 the sidewalk is trying to steal the show lol. I love the light behind her and how you always capture that in the work ive seen. Adds a nice touch of drama. Would have been nicer more immersed in the landscape vs just standing in front of it in the parking lot.
#4 the elbow bugs me, something everyone here always points out. Be careful with limbs being cut accidentally. Great color, bokeh and vibrancy...you are working that 135! I would ask her to ease up on the eye liner next time...people usually look straight to the eyes in any portrait where they are show cased and her overly darkened eyes against the bright happy scene don't tell enough of a story about her...they seem "lifeless".
looking forward to more posts, you've lurked long enough!
