I just have to say that the Nikon Store has the D300 Refurb for 1700.00 They have it listed higher than the D300s.... which is just crazy. That should be the price for a refurb D700 now.

I don't regret buying my D700 from Nikon Store for $2160. But then they have prices like this too - reminds me of some of the prices on Amazon and the guy I just emailed on local CL selling his D700 posted today as the "flagship" of the Nikon FX line.

If somebody WANTS to pay you $1700 for your D300, are you really going to refuse?

That is a great price for a D700 from the Nikon store.. I do remember the price dropping down to around 2399.00 brand new, then it jumped right back up to almost the same price as when it came out.
