Dennis is a homeless man that I see on a fairly regular basis in my town. He's a good man, and today I asked if I could photograph him. I hope I did him justice. Leica M8, Summicron collapsible @ f4.
Just look at those eyes. Then the background - so nicely blurred, but still available for our viewing. His head is ideally placed, just above center and off to the side. And it's positioned at the "vanishing point" of the lines of the buildings. Good expression on his face.
Nice shot. But I'm not sure what doing him "justice" means (making him look happy? handsome? comfortable? You definitely did all those things, so if that's what you were going for, you did him justice.)
Brett - I meant taking a good shot of him. Showing him in a light that shows a human being, not a bum to pass by on the street without a second glance.
