Hi,
I was reading an article last weekend that Google would rank you higher if you have an active presence in G+ vs. Facebook. Is that true? Anyone can confirm?
I just signed up yesterday for google+ just to see for myself if it seems like it makes a difference. I just posted something just a short while ago about a topic and then I did a google search a few minutes ago with very vague search terms and my post came up within the search and it was not on the same browser I was logged in on, which of course would have likely changed the results. I will be doing some further testing on this after seeing these results so quickly.
I haven't noticed much of a difference in terms of SEO (say by searching for photographers in my home city: I still don't appear on the 1st page), but I have noticed a lot of Google search traffic on my site which I didn't have a couple of months ago before I joined G+. I'd say it's a mixed bag. I think more importantly, you should ask what if anything G+ is giving you in terms of actual leads and client connections. SEO or Google search hits don't necessarily lead to actual bookings.
