I just tried something this evening, because the sky is clear for the first time in two months... I put the Nikon One (J1) on the 200-400VR + 1.7TC + FT1 (1836mm equiv), the whole thing on a tripod with gimbal head and here we are...

By the way, AF was perfectly working, very snappy. All the rest manual, f8, 1/160 sec and ISO400 to expose properly. VR was working as well.

Well that's just ridiculous Guy.

You should be able to get a small shot of Jupiter. It's directly above us at the moment, can't miss it!
