These look great! My experience with agency test shoots with male models (and may be female as well) has taught me that they are a lot more interested in the model itself than the styling or grooming. They like the cleaner looks where the model is the center of attention and not the clothes. They buy more of my tests pics with that approach than fashion shoots. Test shoots are important to the agency as they are in the business of selling the model (and not the clothes, makeup or creative lighting etc.). Not sure if that makes sense but just my 2 cents! Good photography nonetheless!

Yes, I'm all too familiar with how stripped down and raw/natural (focus on the model) agencies want the images... and NYC agencies are the roughest, lol.
I've done my fare share of super simple testing. VNY and I have a good relationship and they let me run with this one a bit as Taylor already has a lot of very simpile portraiture in his book. I'm glad they allowed me some freedom.
