Luckily for me, with everything covered in hoar frost, it was almost a full moon a clear. So I gave some night shooting a try.
I spent over 2 hours in the forest last night shooting. It was a great experience except for the constant paranoia that somethings is lurking in the shadows! D:
**edit** #4 is a 2 photo composite. Original blurred/overexposed moon replaced with a second exposure.
Douglas, these were all shot at ISO 400, 30s f3.5-4.5 with a Canon 40D and 10-22mm lens. The aperture was set to wide open but would change depending on focal length.
Aleksandra, that would be a lens flare that I missed. I've replaced the image! Thanks.
Very cool stuff, we recently had a hoar frost in Southern Wisconsin that lasted for 2 full days, never witnessed that before. Always like your work, number 4 is stellar.
These are very nice. I like the last 1 best but they are all good. I know what you mean about wondering about animals/things in the bush. Don't worry - bears sleep at night Scott
