I just bought a 70-300 VR from UsedCameras.com. It seems like the zoom is a little tighter than on my 18-55 VR. It is perfect other than that, and maybe it's o.k. I actually like it a little tight so it don't accidentally move while shooting.

It has a 60 day return policy so i'm not really too concerned, but just curious if anyone is familiar with what i'm talking about. It's smooth, just a "little tight."

I wouldn't worry. Mine is a bit on the tight side also. There's more weight to push around with the 70-300.

Mine is fairly tight too, and yes, a little tight is better than creep.
