Took this photo in 2008. We were staying in the town of Piedmonte Etneo along the eastern slope of Mt Etna in Sicily. At dusk got in the car at drove toward the lava flow trying to get a good look. Never got too close so i had to crop the photo to get the subject i wanted. I did not know the moon was going to be there, what luck!
I really like the diagonal lines from the lava, but the subject blur from the movement of the moon keeps pulling my eyes away from traveling through the comp. That said, it looks like it would have been a very tough shot in which to eliminate that factor.

Wow! As they say, "F8 and be there". You definitely were right there. Yeah, pushing the ISO might have helped a little, but hindsight is such a wonderful thing. Most importantly, you *got* the picture. Sweet.
