Hi All,
Just a few photos from the last few weeks. As everyone knows the Sierra has had very little snow this year. I ran up to the lake the morning the ONE storm we had was coming. I have gone a few times since trying to get winter shots...not so much.
Think snow! C&C welcomed.

It's been an ugly winter but you have still gotten some great shots here. Each is cool, love the Electric Rock!!! #1 I think is my favorite, no wait... #2.... no wait... Ummm... Can I favorite them all?
Thank you everyone. This year has not been a very photogenic one here. I cannot remember a time in the last 25 years that there has been less snow/storms at this time of the year. I need to come up with a snow dance or something. lol.

That little tree in 1 has been growing to icon status. You'd better kayak out there and chop it down. There does seem to be a bright halo from shadow recovery around the trees and rock at upper left on that one. A manual blend may have worked well there, but it is very pretty as is.
The electric rock is pretty cool. That one may work well as a B&W as well. The last one looks like a skinny Mobius arch. Here's wishing for some real snow!
i am for #1 with a slight tweak. the halos around the small trees does not need be there as the whole scene is almost in sillouteeteeeeeee, yeh that word! and therefore would not expect to to see detail in it.
I missed the halos in the trees! Good eye Dave. It was nearly dark when I took this. I tried a basic blend of 2 exposures to bring back some foreground detail. (just learning). I will go back and try again. :-)

Great collection, Deb. Noting Dave's suggestion on the halo (which I didn't notice at first), the first is really a super shot. I wouldn't go any more on the foreground detail, as I think the picture has a great late hour mood to it.
Love the clouds over the lake, and of course the electric rock and the snow-tree-frame.
