p.1 #1 · A few Zion Images

I just finished clearing the first foot of snow on my 300' driveway from a blizzard that is expected to last another day. Consequently, I thought I would grab a hot chocolate and post a few images from a warmer place. The layers show the ocean transgressions and regressions that repeatedly removed the tops of developing dunes along the shoreline. It was rainy with poor skies during most of this trip, but I took these shots and then went on to take take my monument valley pano (shown last month) on the way home. Enjoy and comments welcome.

Being a "rocks and dirt" kind of guy, I like these shots.

Love the first photo. . . . color, light and composition. Great photo!

These are very nice images Dave! I think in #2 I would have preferred a little more breathing room for the tree. Love those rock textures!

+1
It's very difficult to present a fresh perspective from Zion and you have pulled it off very nicely
Love the last little tree in the background!

I like the second one. Nice separation between the foreground & background. I am really digging the bedding planes dipping in different directions. It looks like you were shooting under overcast mid-day light? Wonder what it would look like in B&W.
