Found this photo snapped from the window of an Airplane between Juneau and Haines, Alaska. I had passed right over it a few years ago when I was sorting these. Just today, while archiving, I stumbled back onto this gem.
It's a cool looking composition, and the light looks great in it... but the green toning I would change... was something wrong with the color? Otherwise I would go straight B&W on this.
I rather like the toning, with the blue ice and predominant evergreens, this could be as viewed or could be result of photo through airplane window glass. I would like to see it a little sharper though.

I like the 'aged' look. It's kinda like coins, do you like your Morgan Silver Dollars with or without tone? There reallly is no wrong answer, they are both desirable. Nice. -Jim
Thanks for all the feedback. I put it through straight black and white, I love that as a default technique, but having the tone gone actually left this photo feeling a bit void. So dialing in a little bit of the saturation and shifting it more to the green/yellow spectrum really gave this the feel I was going for. It was cold up there, and this color selection is cold. The glacier snaking through has just enough blue in it to help it just out from the mountains.
+1 about the sharpness. I was certainly not aiming to make this photo, just snapping on a short flight. I was pre-occupied with the upcoming party in Haines - I think that is why I missed this when I sorted.
O0 To the notion of using some colored filters on this...I might give that a run.
