p.1 #1 · sb26 speedlight with some coloured gels...

Threw a couple of gels onto a speedlight and put my son and daughter in front with the speedlight immediately behind them about 5 feet in front of the background. Main light was a 24" portable softbox with a sb900. Quick and dirty, but have a look....

With a medium grey background you can pretty much get almost any colour.

Cute kids and very nice shots. The only suggestion would be to keep the clothes & background neutral, they are taking attention away from the kids

I have not experimented with colored gels on a grey background. I usually opt for just shooting a colored seem less. I will have to try this. Nice job. the third is my favorite. I also agree with thedutt that the close and background should be neutral.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I didn't really worry about what they were wearing just asked them to sit down for a shot.
