I agree on #2 - something is wrong with that colour and it is an awkward looking pose.
#1 I like the blanket. The skin colour is something I noticed and wondered about right away. For me, the only question is whether the skin colour is accurate. If it is, leave it as shown, but if it's "off", a correction should be easy.
I agree; the first one has potential but your WB/color is way off...baby looks grey. The 2nd one he looks orange. I'd love to see that 1st one as a b&w! Your sister's little guy is adorable!
