What do you guys think of this? I am thinking of getting this to show clients rather than to take 2-3 albums with me. I do use my iPad but I've made some arrangements with local vendors to share my work with them and instead of printing albums I thought this was a good way to show off my products because when I have updated work, I could easily add another slide to it or take one out later on rather than having to send an album to Finao and having them reprint. Speaking of, printing additional slides, I am a little confused to where I could to do that. Does anyone have an idea or use this portfolio box?
That said I don't agree that it's a good substitute for taking albums to a client meeting ... it's only marginally more similar to an album than an ipad app woudl be, and not too likely to help you sell albums.
I also see some downsides to using it as a venue "album" as my impression was that it's more delicate than a good quality album, susceptible to prints getting dropped, lost, etc.
IMHO it coudl be an ADDITIONAL selling tool... to showcase different looks for instance, or different processing options, etc.
I think it's nice to have something like that i fyou're not really interested in selling albums and looking for something cool to show people while you're talking. That said, why not try and sell them an album? The worst that happens is they say no.
Hey Mo. I would have to free with Alex. It's nice, but with the clients your going for why not display albums. In my experience, Indian clients LOVE albums and usually get 2-3 of them. Would be worth it to have some to show.
Thanks guys. You're all right about album. I should go with that. I am also going to see if they'll hang a canvas for me in their studio because the decoration is done by that company so it'd be perfect.

Dunno about the canvas.
Let me explain.
If you were pouring serious cash into this, equipping the vendors with high quality albums etc. and had additional budget to invest I'd probably say "sure, why not, go for some canvases"
But you're not.
You're talking about giving the vendors WHCC albums, presumably to save money as I believe you sell Finao.
I think you're likely to get a better ROI by upgrading those WHCC albums to FINAO albums rather than getting the vendors to hang a canvas.
The albums give you a LOT more opportunity to hook a client (hook for a call/meeting, not saying I expect you to "book" from a book) they offer you the opportunity to "talk" to the client when nobody is there to advocate for you. You're not going to put text on a canvas, you're not going to put your website on it, and you're certainly not going to have the opportunity to have some pages that have captivating text that might encourage a potential client to contact you.
Again, I'm not saying it's a BAD idea to get some epic canvases on a nice venue's wall... I'm just saying that THAT may be something to do in ADDITION to giving them a kickass sample.
Then again there aren't many ways to achieve success as certainly as shorting everything I do
Oh and don't get me wrong... I'm not saying you HAVE to get FINAO ALBUMS for the vendors. I'm just not a big fan of you giving them WHCC albums. If you're gonna do albums then I think you need to get the high quality ones.
But there are certainly OTHER things you could do that might work better than either.
Oh Alex, I am just going to go with Finao. WHCC was an idea but I have 3 albums I can order this year still so I might as well get the Finao since that's who I use exclusively at the moment.
