I haven't been able to get out to shoot for some time, so in desperation, I visited the vault... These were all shot with a 40D and 400 F5.6L in 2008-09.
2) A wild pony colt from Corolla NC. There ponies have been in the area for about 400 years. It's thought they were survivors from a shipwreck. Biting flies are ferocious in the area, and the ponies go to the beach to escape.
Wow, great vault work Ron! Who knew you were that good back then
The perch and pose of the first is just too good. That's a super one Ron!!! I would to see a pony on the beach like that, maybe someday but until then I'll go with this one. All the florals are beauties The web filling up with water really is a unique shot. I like the bg in this shot Me too! Love the young buck. Man Ron you hit it out of the park with these
Geesh that colt is a looker
#3 for me Loveya maaaan
#4 give David Earls a tickle PM on that, he will love it and it is the coolest ever that I have seen buddy!
Ohhhh ya #5 is a treat, a luminous glow to the flower against the darkness and depth of that supporting Bg, looks excellent my friend.......I hope it makes you happy too.
#6 is cool, looks like a bombing run
Good looking GBH and the beauty light graced your Buck, neat shot Ron.
Fine set, Ron. I especially enjoy the spider web. Yhe two florals are also very nice shots - both contain a lot of texture. Don't know what's to the right of the daylily, but I might frame it in the left side of the frame.
Love the texture on the buck's anthlers as well -
Nothing like old gear in experienced hands to get it right, eh?

Seems 2008-09 was a good year for pics Ron and you did real well with this combo.
A beautiful mix of flora and fauna which are all well captured together in # 6.
Go dig out some more
