Nice expression but odd with the mysterious (mother's?) hand by his head.
Could use some noise reduction.

Thanks for the feedback, Scott, Tom and Ray.
Being a slide shooter, I'm not totally aware of the meaning of the term "noise," but in the accompanying revision I tried to improve the "grain."

Any better?
About the hand- I sorta like the mysterious quality it lends, although that might just be wishful thinking on my part.
No, the boy didn't smile after I took the pic. This was taken years ago, when foreign visitors to the Serengeti village were still something of an unusual thing for the Masai. I don't recall any of them really smiling to us at all. We were just pale-skinned, funny-looking people of all sizes and shapes who paid a fee to the chief so the warriors wouldn't throw spears at us if we took their pictures. Yes- that happened a few years earlier. After that, the tourist industry decided that visitors would fork over actual cash-on-the-spot if entry to the village was granted by the chief.

Grain, yes. Possibly noise also from the scanner.
Either way the second version looks "cleaner" in a good way.

Name three countries outside of Africa that you havent visited!!

Three countries? Easy, because there are many.
My biggest travel disappointment is that I never got to Antarctica. I know, it's a continent- not a country, but I really wanted to go there. It was simply too expensive.
#1- South America- I only visited three countries there- missed all the others, including Argentina.
#2- Europe- when I was doing all my European travels the Eastern Bloc countries were mostly closed to Americans- so I missed most of "Eastern Europe," including Poland.
#3- Asia- Although I got to Nepal- I never got to Tibet. And many other Asian nations, also.
But overall- I had a good, long run.

John- I meant my travel days are gone. I still have thousands of Kodak slides to scan and process- and the time to do it
