I too prefer to get the bird without "enticing" it, Peter. I know -- and have seen -- some folks going so far as to bait the bird with prey. I'd rather get them when they're doing things "naturally". Perhaps the photo capture rate is less, but I get a much more satifying feeling of accomplishment when I encounter something good while hiking around. I really like the complimentary bg for the Chickadee, and the pose is perfect.

On occasion I have baited my standard stunt birds with whole grain bread and seeds in order to do some technical flight photography. That's how far I am prepared to go with baiting ...
