I have had problems with some of the Plug-ins crashing for months. The Nik support people have not been able to get my HDR program to work. They told me that it was an Apple problem. I took it to the apple genius bar and after some real basic work it worked in the store but when i got it home it would not work. All they did at the store was plug in the power and reboot with an external drive. When I try to open HDR It keeps saying Photoshop has a problem, an error has occurred and closes. I gave up on Silver EFX2 and had them give me a refund. The funny thing is HDR was working fine until I purchased the download of SFX2 and then neither would work after that. The Nik collection that i purchased previously still works, it is only the two new plugins, Silver Efx2 and HDR that dont work. I am on Leopard and am wondering if I should upgrade to Snow Leopard and if that would help at all or if it is anymore stable? I have a Mac Pro from 2007 so I dont want to go to Lion. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if these above posts have anything to do with your problem but my 2011 MacBook Pro-running Snow Leopard- has Aperature and NIK's Complete Collection with all updates and has been running error free since May2011. A few "glitches" but nothing NIK tech support could not fix.
Now on my 3 CS4/5 PC's there were some problems with CS4 and the NIK CC. NIK blamed Windows and Adobe but Adobe and Windows both had bullentins stating that the problems were NIK related and they ended up being as such..so when I upgraded to CS5 all went away.
Good Luck!
Dan
Thanks for the info. The Nik people did the font thing many months ago and that did not fix the problem. I have sent them reports and they keep telling me that their engineering people will look them over and they will get back but that never happens. I will try some of the other things referenced on the links that you provided.
