Gitzo Monopod Question: I have a Gitzo GM3550 model monopod. At B&H and other sellers I can't find that model but they do sell (new) a Gitzo GM3551. Obviously they are different models but I feel sure that most of the "specs" are the same on these two monopods. Do you know what the difference is between them? Crazy question I know but I want to list mine for sale and would like to point those interested to a very similar model. And yes, I am a paid FM member so I can post on the B&S forum and this post is not an effort to avoid "paying" for that privilege. I can/do post on the B&S - I am just trying to sort this out before I post it.
they made a minor change to th MP. in fact if i'm correct they changed the platform and added a second screw (to trap any head you used on the outer diameter of the flat portion screwing up from under) thus the incremental digit increase. i have a GT2540ex which was replaced by the GT2541ex and that was that no other spec change at all.
