Khai,
Backgrounds do make a difference. A lot of my shots would otherwise look boring with just plain empty sky background. Thanks bro for all those picks.

Hi Karl my friend,
I'm still here for another week, I think I must be getting bored with all this warm weather
I appreciate it so much for the detailed critiques, wouldn't expect less from you. Thanks.

Hey Andy......sounds like a nice place to hang out!
You know me, gonna tell it like I see it.........
For me 1-5 seem very light, #3&4 seem to have a WB issue and #4 is lacking contrast. I like the compo in #1
#6 shows excellent whites, a little more head turn would be winner!
#7 if only a peak at the eye.......
#8 Lovely lovely lovely
#9 Wall Art, visually stunning, dynamic and killer cool
#10 Wow, amazing grace and beauty, lovely color and ambiance Andy
#11 A lot of pushing on color that has an interesting effect though I don't like the resulting patterns it left on the OOF duckie
#12 Eagle-icious
Great series and hard-pressed to find a stand-out. Unless its the reddish?
Quality I would like to emulate.
One nit: I think the GBH couple look a bit washed out, could use some contrast and/or mid-tone bumps.

Well done, Andy....Reddish egret and Spoonbill look perfect to me, with beautiful background.
Regarding the KFC flight shot, which, BTW, has been nicely and sharply caught: the bird looks much lighter in general appearance/colouring than the birds I see in Ontario. Perhaps local diet/habitat changes Florida KFs that way ?
My preference would also be to frame it with a bit more open space, to give it more of an "airy" and "flighty" feel, similar to what you gave the perched KF.
Thanks,
All points taken. First step: just any closeup captures of the KF; next step: a KF closeup with more specific criteria. I'll post the results later.
Andy
Awsome Pictures Andy, not sure if I've seen you around...moved out of Florida back in September. Saw your Bald Eagle with the Squirrel a week or so ago when Eric D shared it on facebook. That in the cemetary or another nest? Ohy, I so miss Florida.
