Hi Phil,

Not sure it conveys sadness, as the business seems to be still operating, the power looks like it is still connected.
I would say more neglect than sadness IMHO

Very good. The connected power does in fact make me fully hesitate to believe it is closed and sad, but the broken windows would seem to indicate it's not a theft threat if it is indeed open!
I like the grungy appearance a lot, and like the image as a whole. It's a nice shot in my opinion.

Maybe parts sad, parts broken, parts almost scary.
I like the processing a lot.
You've got a bit of a spooky face in those windows, descending lines, and a Gilmore grim below.
