Another from the Badwater area after rains in the surrounding mountains drained down to the lowest spot and formed a big-but-extremely-shallow "lake."

yes and no.
I like the darker clouds in #1, but the lighter reflection in #2. very nice image.

Odd note here: the only radio program I listen to is called "Car Talk"- Saturday mornings on NPR. Two brothers (Ray and Tom) answer car questions from callers. Some questions are really dumb, some answers are really good, and the brothers are very funny.
Agree about the clouds and reflection. Trouble is, water reflections are always darker than the sky they reflect
