I need to put together a proposal for photography at a multi-day event (concerts). Anyone know of any samples out there? I've search google and found a couple of basic ones. I've managed to come up with something, but I'd like to see a few more examples.
I've even looked on PPA's resources and have had no luck.
I would be hired by the production company to document the event for them. As for a budget, I'm waiting to hear back for the details about that.
There hasn't been a RFP and I don't think there will be one. I'm good friends with one of the senior VPs of the company and he asked that I put something together so that he can present it to one of the other VPs.
Their "budget" shouldn't dictate what you charge for your services. Quote your normal day-rate (if that's how you charge), and any other expenses such as travel, rentals, assistants, post-processing, etc.
^ Ditto
It's like any other bid proposal.
If you're under their budget and you are low bid compared to the competition you may get the work. If over, it may put you out of the race. It's unlikely you'll know their budget prior to your bid submittal.
Good point guys. I was mainly waiting to hear back about what exact days they'll need me for. I ended up making a few assumptions and noted them in the proposal.
Hopefully they'll spring. One of the SR VPs is a good friend of mine, so hopefully that'll add a little more.
Sometimes it's shocking for a photographer to hear what a budget is for photography. Then said photographer can adjust their income accordingly from that point on so they meet market expectations instead of unintentionally lowballing.
