I processed this monochrome version of the old steam engine fishing boat. I don't know the history of her, but she shure was a great subject to capture and the thoughts went through my mind of the stories she could tell if only she could. I hope you enjoy seeing her as much as I did capturing her very short time left.

White clouds look like that, so "correcting" them in a photograph is problematic (at least it is for me).
That aside- I really like the image!
First- that old boat is fascinating- and its surroundings are also.
Second- your shot and processing are perfect for it.
Well done.

PS After writing the above words, I was looking again at the image. Among my thoughts were "where was this taken?" An estuary along a coastline? The edge of a lake? A river? I mean, steamboats weren't used everywhere- even back in the day. Then it occurred to me- western Oregon's Willamette River. I quickly looked to see where you're from. Salem- our lovely capital city that's ON the Willamette!
I've explored the edges of the Willamette numerous times, but never spotted an old steamer. Kudos to you.

Thank you so much kind folks, I really appreciate the comments.
@ mamankyle, the upload here on FM makes the highlights in the clouds look a little hot, but they really aren't. The master is not blown out at all and well withing the desired histogram.
@ Charlie, thank you kind sir. This was shot on the yaquina river which empties into Yaquina bay in Newport, Oregon. I feel very privileged to have found her prior to further decay. I bet the cabin has totally fallen by now.

Well- I was close- but no cigar .
Whenever I drive to Newport, I take the road that skirts Yaquina Bay from Toledo into Newport.
A total of two hours driving from my home- and it was especially enjoyable when I had my Miata and the top was down.
