p.1 #1 · What glue to fix this hood?

I have a Sony hood composed of metal and plastic parts fallen apart as shown in the pic below.
The hood was exposed to the extremely cold weather for a couple days. I figured that caused the failure of the glue as the thermal expansion coefficients of the metal and plastic are different.

Apparently, Sony didn't choose the right glue.
So what glue should I get to fix this? where can I get it?

Hot glue gun should do it. Plenty of hold with flexibility.

HOt glue gun is a good idea.

Although more often thought of as a sealant, regular silicone sealant is a pretty good adhesive. It sticks to virtually anything (tropical fish enthusiasts glue their aquariums together with it). It's also flexible so can resist the differential expansion/contraction of the plastic/aluminum).

It's silicone, not silicon. As long as both parts are clean, it's one of the best glues you can find. It also comes in a rainbow of colors. Your local big box home improvement emporium should have several hundred tubes of the stuff in various sizes and colors.
