Has anyone tried this thing
Yongnuo YN-565EX TTL Flash Speedlite Canon 7D 5DII 60D 50D 40D 400D 450D 500D

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yongnuo-YN-565EX-TTL-Flash-Speedlite-Canon-7D-5DII-60D-50D-40D-400D-450D-500D-/130582856155#ht_4123wt_1163

This is for Canon.. it says it works with 60D

I have their flash triggers.. they work great! So far!

I do not have 1500.00 to get 3 580 EX lls.
So, was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these?

I've heard that some people quite like the Yongnuo flashes. However I've also heard that quite a few people have had some serious failures with them as well. Having never used their products I cannot confirm or deny this.

I have one 580exII that I use for on camera TTL flash work and as an off camera master. Up until now I have been using a Vivitar 285HV as a secondary off camera unit which has worked fine. It's never failed me. I've been wanting to try the LumoPro flashes out as well based on a few reviews (and a pretty strong endorsement from David Hobby on Strobist)

I just ordered one of the LP160s so we'll have to see how well it works out.

Alaska, I have been looking at Yognou flashes. I have 580 and would get the Yongnou as slaves on stands.

You'll have to post a review once you've tried it out.

I'm set up similarly to you: one 580EX, one 285HV (which I love), and one 430EX II (my most recent purchase). I'd like to add a 580EX II to get camera-menu control of a Master from my 7D, but after that I want to get at least one more budget-friendly flash of some kind; the LP-160 looks like a good one to consider. If I don't get that, I'll proably get another 285HV.

It is getting great reviews. No HSS and it cannot be a master. I have a 560 and it works fine. That is about it.

Brian,

I'll do a write-up once I've spent some time with it. I typically use Pocketwizards as my triggers (which is why the miniphone plug on the LP160 was SO appealing to me) but having good slave options would be nice as well.

I'm kind of dedicating this year to taking a better understanding of light. I can light things fine, but I want to know more. I'll let you know when I've got a review up

be prepared for failures within 1-2 years of ownership. If it makes it past there, I think you should be fine.
