p.1 #1 · Question with VML with AB units

I bought the AB800 last month and only used it indoors. Since most of my work is outdoors I bought the VML and the AB1600.

I fully charged the VML and tested the AB1600 on it. After the flash fires, the fan slows down almost to stop and then speeds up again when it is ready. I tried the AB1600 and AB800 both at the same time at full power, and fans seems to have stop while it is waiting for power.

Is this normal? I understand that the recycle times slows down but should the fan inside the AB head slow down when it is recycling?

According to the VML docs, the output voltage drops during a full charge - which may be why you see that happening. I've never noticed it myself, but never listened

Make sure you are not using the modeling lamp with the VML. Not recommended
